The Largest Single Empathy Program Launch in Our History!

Pillows with Wings has completed the largest single empathy program launch in our history. Fourteen schools, with over 750 students in the Seton Catholic School system, began the program in January 2025. The empathy program, 10 Lessons to Understanding Big Feelings, is now underway in the following Seton Catholic Schools: Catholic East, Mary Queen of Saints, Northwest Catholic, Our Lady Queen of Peace, Prince of Peace, St. Adalbert, St. Catherine, St. Charles Borromeo, St. Margaret Mary, St. Mary of Częstochowa, St. Rafael the Archangel, St. Rose of Lima, St. Roman Parish, and St. Thomas Aquinas Academy.

The ability to understand emotions — our own and those of others — is fundamental to being human.

Empathy is essential to healthy interpersonal relationships. It is at the core of effective communication and conflict resolution. Strong communities. And personal development. This has always been the case. What’s different is that our way of life is expanding like never before, becoming more multicultural, more global.

This underscores the importance of equipping young children with the ability to empathize with people from diverse backgrounds, and in so doing, nurture tolerance, acceptance, inclusivity.
